Obituary for Dr. Ricardo Jr. Quintana
Verona
Dr. Ricardo Beckwith Quintana Jr., age 70, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010.
He was born Aug. 23, 1940, in Madison, the son of distinguished Professor Ricardo B. and Janet (Harris) Quintana Sr.
Dr. Quintana Jr. received a B.A. from Harvard, an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from UW-Madison, each in mathematics. He was known for his work on the restricted Burnside problem.
Dr. Quintana Jr. is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Vinz) Quintana; and a son, Christian Watson.
A graveside service was held at Middleton Cemetery in Verona on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010. A very special thank you to the staff at Badger Prairie Health Care Center for your wonderful care of Ricardo!
