More sad news everyone. I received messages from Judy Dornfeld Danca, and Carolyn Manson, wife of Don, passed on by John Ragatz bringing the sad news that John Torphy passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 in Tucson, AZ.

UPDATE (10/4/11 : 3:00 PM: Barbara Duwe Smith shared this comment that she received from one of her contacts:

“Jim,
I just got off the phone with John’s widow, Helen, and she said there will be no funeral but a memorial service will be planned in Madison sometime after the first of the year. She said we can feel free to share that info with anyone interested.
